Uploading your notes to NoteXchange is only the first step to helping out your old school friends and successfully selling your notes. Now that they’re up, you have to let people know! Below are some of the best methods to help spread awareness of your products and your store.
1) GIVE STUDENTS FROM YOUR SCHOOL A HEADS UP
When marketing your notes (or anything for that matter) the most important thing to establish is trust – people have to trust you. If you aced school last year (or the year before) chances are the year level below have heard of you and would like your help! Let them know about what you’re selling via text, Facebook, Twitter, etc. Basically how you think they’ll be best reached. Make sure you include a link to your shop! Below is a sample message.
Hey gang,
Just wanted to let you know I’m selling my school notes – you can get them at https://notexchange.com.au/vendor/VCe2014/(insert your own).
These notes contributed to my achievements in VCE and I believe they will help you achieve your best.
Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions!
2) VCE FACEBOOK GROUPS
Another great way to create awareness is to post in Facebook groups or pages. This is reaching to a broader and more distant audience so make sure you tell them a bit about yourself and how you went. Also, don’t forget the link to your shop! A sample is shown below:
Hey guys,
I finished VCE last year with an ATAR of XX.XX. I’m currently selling notes for the following the subjects:
- Math Methods (Study score of 40)
- Physical Education (Study score of 43)
Just go to https://notexchange.com.au/vendor/VCe2014/ to check them out! (insert your own).
Feel free to message me if you have any questions!
3) VCE FORUMS
Lots of students are part of different forums for different subjects throughout their VCE year. This is a great way to contact like-minded students and increase your understanding, but it is also a great place to raise awareness of your store! Tell the new students about the notes you made last year! A sample is shown below:
Hey everyone,
I used the forum a lot last year (plus heaps of other resources), made some really good notes and got a score of 41 for physics! I uploaded my notes to NoteXchange and you can check them out at my store https://notexchange.com.au/vendor/VCe2014/! (insert your own)
Feel free to ask me any questions!
4) PUT POSTERS UP AT YOUR SCHOOL
This for those who want to go above and beyond. Putting up posters at school is a great way of grabbing the headlines. We recommending emailing and speaking to your past teachers before doing this but it is a very effective method of letting students know that you are there to help them through the stress of year 12!
