About the Product

This essay is written around two After the Bomb compulsory texts for English Extension:
1. The Spy Who Came in From the Cold (John Le Carre)
2. The Applicant & Daddy (Sylvia Plath )
Providing a deep philosophical exploration of the origins and causes of post-bomb ways of thinking, this essay provides several key concepts for you to draw from in the creation of your own, personalised argument.

Theoretical ideas and critics are intertwined into the argument in order to provide key reference points for the various philosophical ideas explored throughout, including the notions of ‘mauvais foi’ and ‘the subject and power’. Unfortunately, these ideas are too often ignored within school scenarios and as such, may preclude you from receiving the mark you truly deserve. Once you develop an understanding of these key philosophers and their ideas, reading this essay will become more of an exercise in extracting analysis points and amalgamating them into your own writing.
